I noticed a semi famous person was on facebook chat today and I sort of wanted to talk to her.
We partied together about two years ago but haven't really talked since. It got me thinking, I bet so many people want to talk to her, to be her friend. And I wonder, is it lonely being in that place where you aren't sure if people are actually cool or just trying to use you to have some sort of notoriety?
I didn't talk to her, mostly because I don't have any desire to be lumped into that "hanger-on" category. I wonder how that feels, secretly questioning the people you meet because you're not sure of their motives.
I wouldn't like it.
